Post by mdcoles1 »

Need some ideas/recipes for home/villa happy hours. At home, I am typically am a wine, beer or rum and diet coke gal, but would like to branch out. Please share your favorites.....I am going to try this one for sure

In a pitcher, combine equal parts (use the limeade can to measure): Frozen limeade concentrate, water, Sprite, and tequila. Add one Corona. Stir, serve, and be careful

One of my favorite drinks is super easy...Sprite, Cruzan Guava Rum, and lime...it's really tasty.

I have a go-to refreshing treat esp good for summers here in Arkansas.

2 parts prosecco ( or champagne)
2 parts club soda
1 to 1 1/2 part st germain (elderflower liqueur) - start with a little and increase amt to taste

I have been known to add an oz or so of this liquer to my glass of non-sparkling white wine..I LOVE st germain!
FYI, you don't HAVE to add the club soda to the first recipe !

Here are our two island main stays:

Coconut rum & seltzer over ice with a wedge of lime. (Quantities & ratios to fit the situation.)

1 part ea. coconut rum, pineapple rum & banana rum. Place in blender with ice and pour in martini glass with a wedge of lime. You can call it whatever you like.

Fisheye,
You posted my fav drink! Hubs was the St Germaine rep until they recently sold, so we had a generous supply. That drink throws me for a loop for some reason! Add fresh raspberries to it to make it pretty.

This is one I invented on my only trip (so far) on island last May. I named it The Panty Dropper, trust me:wink:. My friends laughed at the name until they tries it and found out the name is true.

Cruzan Vanilla Rum
Rootbeer

Yep, that's all. It tastes like a rootbeer float and is delish!

We also had the fruity variety of Cruzan with Sunkist and those are equally as good.

If you try this please let me know if the name holds true for you. No details necessary, just a yep or nope. Just an unscientific survey.

I like "mantaritas" - a McKibben house specialty! Make the margarita your typical way but leave room on top for a shot of amaretto! :D
