Very nice. For all grief the D10 and the D20 have sometimes gotten, those point n shoot Canons can give you some mighty fine photos in the right hands.

Very nice! What camera did you use? The images are so clear and full of color. At what depth were you?

Hi,
I used the Canon G10 set on the underwater setting. On land it was Auto.
We had poor visibiltiy almost every day so I did have to clean up the photos in photoshop. Took out cyan, sharpened, contrast, etc.
I was not deep, just regular snorkeling. I did have to dive down to get closer at times. I also tried using the flash and that was ok... but that type of lighting ends up showing cediment floating around.
The Sea Stars were in Leinster Bay... they are usually around the middle or left side of the bay. Octupuses (octopi?) as well on left hand side of Leinster Bay. Right side, sharks! Spotted Eagle Ray swimming around in the bay, lots of turtles, etc.
Jimmy the goat was super cute and super young, he still had his umbilical cord. The poor little guy must have been running around and fell down the side of a cliff. We were snorkeling at South Haulover around the point and kept hearing this horrilbly loud and desperate cry. It was poor Jimmy who fell and was sliding down the hill into the water. Our friend who had booties on scooped him up and brought him up the cliff to try and reunite him with his mom. Of course the mom was not at the top of the hill. She must have been looking for him elsewhere. So we had to bring Jimmy with us. Next thing you know there are a bunch of goats crying and making a rukus. The little guy was so tired he just fell asleep in my friend's arms. ( as well as doing a #1 and #2 on her) .

Isa, those are some INCREDIBLE underwater shots. Such an interesting variety of fish, too. The video of the octopus is wonderful, but I think the pictures I'm most jealous of are the technicolor squid.

So... what finally happened to Jimmy the goat? Did he ever get reunited with his ma? (So adorable how blissfully happy he looks... it's funny how baby animals seem to have no fear of people).
