Yes..and if you notice, those weren't high end homes either. Wondered what his job is, did it say?

I have good friends who live on St. John. They rent and are looking for a home. They work on the island but are completly priced out of ownership. what would happen to St. John if the workers can't afford to stay and raise a family?

He's the sales manager at Grand Bay... Why do you think they showed a unit on TV that had nothing to do with the type of property they were looking for?

And yes, those are the more "affordable" homes on island.

Sounds like you're talking about the episode from November?

If so, there was some discussion on it here:

Yes most are and they never talk about how outrageous the electric bills will be. I have lived on St John & St Thomas, both are pricy so I scaled down expectations and rented a studio. BTW, most of the locals that work on St John live on St Thomas, one of the reasons the ferried run so early each day.

I just got the biggest giggles reading this as I missed the episode's original airing so when I got to see it last night , I was amused at the inconsistencies. I loved going back and reading what people wrote in November. Now saying that - it was still awesome seeing St John and the good ol' boys( donkeys and goats). On a FB page, people have commented that he didn't even live on STT- that Grande Bay had given him a unit rent free for one year- so my guess is the advertising was part of the deal and the two bedroom was way out of their price range. I hope they enjoy their home and their baby was a doll!
