on island now...record travel day!

What a beautiful morning on St. John. We arrived yesterday and miracle of miracles, every flight was on time, we had no bad weather, no tie ups on STT, and made the 2:00 ferry! It was like having an extra day! Usually we are so exhausted when we arrive that we barely unpack and grab some food. On a depressing note, I am looking out at the ruins of the 'Sirenusa' complex and can't believe it is still such a mess. I have no idea if anything can be done with it and wonder what happened to the few people who bought their villas. Just sad. Looking forward to a great week on island![/list]

Welcome to the island! My husband also arrived yesterday and brought down an inflatable kayak. We plan to venture out on them (three of us) a few times this week. So if you see us out there, please say hello!

Quick question - did you mean Sirenusa or Pond Bay ? Sirenusa is almost finished and the units back on the market, Pond Bay on the other hand is just a mess.

We brought our 2 person inflatable kayak with us on this trip and took it out for the first time yesterday, we had a lot of fun.

Any forumites on island plan to be at the Beach Bar July 4th pre-fireworks?

What flight were you on and what time did you land in order to make the 2pm ferry? Just curious since we are scheduled to arrive at 1:10pm in a couple months.
