Time of day -for Manta Ray?

Post by SuefromMA »

Okay - this is going to be right up there for one of the dumbest questions every asked. But, here goes, anyway?

For those of you who have been fortunate enough to see the Manta Ray, at either Francis or Maho or wherever - Did you note whether or not it was at a particular time of day? Or was it really just - whenever?

Just wondering if they have a "habit" of say - coming to the shoreline at Francis at a particular time of the day? (I KNOW that they don't have a "performance schedule" per-se.) Just didn't know if anyone has noticed any "habit".

We will just be on St. John for four short days at the end of April and sure would like to be lucky enough to catch this wonder.

Thank you!
Sue

We saw it late afternoon...probably in the 4:00 range. Good luck! :D
