I cant decide how to get to Jost...
I am having a hard time deciding how I want to get to Jost when I am on the island. I have read alot of good reviews about Kekoa, but I also might like the freedom of the ferry... decisions, decisions.......

It is no surprise that I will recommend capt John with Palm Tree charters.
In addition to going to Jost, we get in some great snorkeling, beach hopping, and great lunch options.
The beauty is in the freedom to do what you want, when you want and even change your mind in the middle.
I realize it is not a day that fits everyone's budget, but it is worth every penny!

We've done the ferry before (from Tortola) and spent the entire day there...it was great. Have also gone with Born to Rhumb....lots of stops along the way but also wonderful. Going with Palm Tree this year and can't wait..... I guess it depends on how much time you want to spend there and what you'd like your day to be.
Either way, there is no place like Jost

all you have to do is smile, smile, smile

PaminMaine,
I've taken a few different charters to Jost Van Dyke and my favorite has been the Kekoa. Last month I went to Jost twice. Once on Kekoa and once on the Island Spirit. Both are beautiful catamarans but I really enjoy the Kekoa's itinerary, crew, and boat.
It's a great day. On my blog I posted some photos of my last dail sail on Kekoa.

Enjoy!

We went to Jost via fairy one month ago. We were undecided also for the longest time. We took the fairy and had a great day. We were dropped off in Great harbor and Started the day at Soggy Dollar just beaching it in the chairs. Before lunch we walked over to Ivan's and enjoyed a piece of strawberry pie (its great being an adult and having desert before your meal). We then went back to Soggy Dollar for lunch followed by more limmin. We had the taxi pick us up in time to get back to Foxy's for a drink and more chilaxin. We really enjoyed the day.
We decided against the charter because we didn't plan on snorkeling and couldn't justify the extra expense of a charter just to have a little more time on Jost. Every body has to be back by 5:00 to clear customs. I think it is 5:00.
