Amani sold- looking for new villa!

Post by EagleRayLover »

We just got word from Island Getaways that Amani, the villa we are booked for in October, has a contract pending and the future owners do not want to rent it. Island Getaways is suggesting Rendezview, Allesandra, or Mystic Ridge as alternatives. We have been to both Allesandra and Mystic Ridge as visitors but never been to Rendezview. Anyone have any input- Mystic Ridge and Allesandra are both very nice but we kind of like to try new places (otherwise we would probably just live at Reef Madness!!) We picked Amani as the other Forum couple we are traveling with had a hot tub on their list and we really wanted the pool and the sunset view as well (which we know Rendezview does not have. does not look like they have a hot tub either.)If there is an alternative not listed, we are open to looking in to it as well. Thanks for all your help Forumites!!!

So I take it you want to be in the Fish/Rendezvous Bay area? Waterfall is really nice but three bedrooms. I can suggest a few Coral Bay homes but you want sunsets so that's out...

Amani is part of Maria Bluff area. Island Getaway just gave us those three as that is what was available through them for our dates but they said they would refund us if necessary. So we are open to check stuff out.

So sorry to hear that! But I'm sure you will end up exactly where you want to be.

Villa Capiz is one we looked at when picking for next Feb. It's on Gift Hill, so you get the great sunsets, plus has a pool and hot tub. It's a 3 br though. Check it out:

Not sure of the availability for Oct. Good luck!!

Splendore is another villa on Maria Bluff with a pool, a hot tub and 'some' sunset view, but might not be available for your dates since it's a popular villa.

Soul Island on Gifft Hill fits the bill, too, and seems to be available: http://www.carefreegetaways.com/home.ph ... l%20Island
The website says "20% discount thru October". I have no first hand info on the villa but found a positive review: http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/s ... 4340.shtml

Even without a sunset view and a hot tub, Reef Madness would be an excellent choice, as we both know.

I don't have any ideas for you at the moment considering your criteria, but I wanted to warn you that I believe all 3 suggestions from IG are also for sale (recent posts indicate Allesandra is for sale, and Rendezview and Mystic Ridge are definitely on the market). You may want to chose a villa that isn't on the market just to be safe.

Hey There,
If there's only 2 couples, Bongo Bongo would be a great choice.
It looks like the week of October 22 is available.
The rate for 1-4 people is $3,400 with 10% off all bookings through October.

Best of luck.

OK, here's my suggestion:

http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/property/ ... sonadores/

Claims sunset views, hot tub, pool, 4 BR, AC, and wide open for October.

Best of luck.

Damn, it's for sale too. Sorry.

We have styed at Villa Capiz and although it is very nice it is not a 3BR villa for 3 couples. The third bedroom is smaller than small, has a full size bed and no bath ensuite.
Best for 2 couples.

thanks everyone- usually if the property is for sale -it honors upcoming rentals. It's not a big deal at all as there are so many properties. I was just in venting mode last night- it will all work out!

Amani is under contract. There are two rentals to be moved so the current and future owner can close. The new owner will live at Amani and will not be renting.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Looks like we'll be at waterguy's favorite villa!

We've only visited others there before - looking forward to staying there and enjoying those amazing views every night!
