Ted's Supper Club

Post by Chicken »

Thinking about having a dinner at the villa with Ted's Supper Club. How much would something like that cost for a party of 4? Also, anyone have any menu recommendations? Anything that he makes that is more out-of-this-world than the rest? Thanks!

You can expect to pay just north of $500 for a party of 4, not including tip or wine. Everything he has cooked for us has been out of this world so pick your food group & bon appetit!

Enjoy,

We used Ted last year for our last night's dinner in our villa. His food was OUTSTANDING. I actually worked with him as far as cost and what food he could cook within that price. He will work with you as far as how much you want to spend. Very worth well worth it!

We had Ted cook for us in Dec 2010 and loved it! It was the best meal we had all week! He worked with me on a menu to accommodate our budget and my hubby's picky eating! :)

We used Ted on our trip in early June. Best meal by far. Use Ted's menu or tell him what you would like and he will take care of you.

Now that I think of it I might just have to book another trip to the rock to have another meal. Sounds good to me!

I posted a review under St John Dining Reviews, but I can say that the meal that Ted prepared for our 20th anniversary was probably the best meal we've ever had. We went with the "full meal deal" and Ted made a couple of tweaks to the menu to accommodate a couple requests. I think it was $125 per person (we supplied our own wine) plus tip. As for the menu, while my wife loves lobster, she's not real big on a lot of other seafood, so I asked if he could include a steak for her and we settled on a NY striploin. We started with pan-fried tuna dumplings, followed by an amazing lobster and ravioli appetizer, skillet roasted focaccia, baby field greens and prosciutto ... we were pretty well done by this point ..., oven roasted NY striploin (for my wife) and potato-wrapped Mahi (for me), finishing off with wonderful chocolate molten cakes. While we visited with Ted and then ate, he prepared and cooked the food, served it to us, then cleaned the whole kitchen and washed all the dishes. He also wrapped the leftovers up and put them in the fridge "for a little snack" the next day. Ted is a delight and thoroughly enjoys what he does; my wife described him as "vibrant".

My recommendation is to "just do it" because it's such a special treat to be able to have such an amazing meal right at your "home for a week" and not have to worry about a thing. We'll definitely give Ted a call the next time we're on the island.
