Estate Fortsberg

I've got my sights set on this villa for next year...the views look amazing and I love the pool area. Oh and the outdoor showers. Anyone have any recent experiences?

I've been through this villa but haven't stayed there. The pool area is really beautiful as is the rest of the house.

There was a girls trip a year or two ago that stayed there. Maybe some of that group will comment.

We stayed there in Nov 2009 and loved it! The driveway up to it was rough, but I guess is improved now.
I will see if I can find the trip report thread from then and post it on here.

I was on that trip with Sea-Nile and Jo Ann...hated to leave this house. It was breath-takingly beautiful..and the view!! The drive up was rough, but you forgot about it as soon as you were "home"...I'd go back here in a heartbeat!!

Our family stayed there last June. The road has been improved - more concrete areas were poured before we arrived, so there were less rough spots. We enjoyed the villa very much - the only complaint we had was that in the evening it got quite hot in the great room because the sun from the west is very intense. I think a fan in that area would have helped greatly.
We enjoyed exploring the Fortsberg ruins - just up the hill from the villa.
