Hot Mess Trip Report Final
I hate the last day.
Finish packing, clean, trash, gas, return car, blah, blah, bah
We needed food and we had our bags and we just decided to go back to JJ's. It was Sunday and it was busy. Our server was, well, not good. Our food took over an hour, but that was after it took 20 minutes to place our order.
I love JJ and I like the food but I think we are done with JJ's.
We took the noon boat, Rachel picked us up and we made it to the airport in more than enough time.
Smooth flight to Philly except for the insanely drunk woman across from us.
Then our Philly to Hartford flight was delayed by almost 3 hours.
Hot Mess flight home!
Observations:
You don't need every day filled with sun to have a great vacation
Do not be afraid to make real friends out of your internet friends. They may just prove to be some of your dearest friends
Hot Dogs for breakfast are pretty good
Dancing in the rain is something that every adult should do.
Budget accomodations are great unless the weather sucks
Hot Sauce bottles are evil and should only be opened under extremely safe conditions, like inside a bubble
Surprises on STJ are 1 million times better than surprises anywhere else
I have been home for only a few weeks and I miss my forum friends; those that are on STJ and those that aren't.
Even with just one carry one, I didn't wear everything I packed
Don't ever be afraid to just be silly, and don't limit it to vacation.
I still cry when the ferry pulls away from the dock
Finish packing, clean, trash, gas, return car, blah, blah, bah

Testify, sister!
Love the way you laugh at the rain. Enjoyed your TR's.
Win or lose, we still booze.
Great vacations are made, not had.
Never met a stranger on the forum.
I'm out of fortune cookies.

It’s not about yesterday or tomorrow...It’s about today, for come what may – Sun, rain, or hurricane – we've only time for a smile, and none for sorrow

I will miss your reports and because of that, you should go back and provide us with more! I will smile every time I see someone next winter wearing blue mittens...
I agree about the friends, we met forumites on-island last year and have become great friends, spending spring break together on STJ this year and hanging out here in Michigan as much as possible, all because of the forum.
I had to smile when I saw your last picture of the sand, because I did the same thing for the last of my pictures...here's mine from April.
Thanks for sharing!
