Good luck with that. I have 200+ days to go and I can't concentrate or focus NOW ALREADY!

If you figure something else I am sure that would be of value to all of us addcts.

My name is Flip-Flop and I am a StJohn-aholic.

I have 11 more days and I might as well be there now because I'm worthless to anyone at home  I really don't know if I'd really want to change that feeling because it just makes being there all that much better!

I feel your pain girl! Last week I kept waking up at 5 am with KC singing "Somewhere in the Sun" in my brain! He wouldn't shut-up, so I just got up ,drank alot of java, worked out, then hunkered down in front of the "puter": (Seems I always get slammed w/work before I go)...I keep thinking, the more you make the more you can spend on jewelry! 21 days to go and I still have 5 LBS of "ulgy white fat" to lose...Oh yeah, JJ's Kiwi Coladas get me motivated too!Just remember it'll be here and gone before you can blink!
I'd rather be in the boat with a drink on the rocks than in the drink with a boat on the rocks

I've got 40 more days and already am thinking about the trip all of the time. This weekend we started to work on our cd mix. John broke down and bought a pair of tevas yesterday. Maybe this year we will finally do the Reef Bay hike!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Make sure that you bring plenty of water, remember how you got into the water to snorkel, and keep emergency water in the jeep for when you are done hiking.

And don't wear flip-flops.

I'm right there with you. At least you don't have six or so WEEKS of being worthless. Basically, right before my trip, I play with all my stuff that I'm taking - packing it, unpacking it, rematching stuff, adding more stuff, taking stuff out, etc.; I make island CDs and load more music on my player; I waste TONS of time on the internet; and I keep making myself "guides" with pictures and info. so that I can immerse myself in St. John info. Very sad.

I find that if I pack to early I keep adding more and more and bring way too much. I like making lists of what to bring and I will probably start that soon!

VaGirl:

I always end up skipping my last couple days of work because 1) I worked my butt of to be caught up and have nothing else to do and 2) even if I did have something to do I wouldn't be able to concentrate to do it.

I usually go do the girleee things like get get my nails done, get a pedicure, a massage to relax me. And then the day before I leave, I always keep my kids home from school and spend the day hanging out with them doing lunch and fun stuff. It helps the time fly by and keeps me focused on something other than the hours, minutes, and seconds to my flight!!

I'm usually dieting down to the last minute before vacation, so I keep unpacking the stuff I packed 4 weeks ago, to see what fits, doesn't fit, thought it would fit but it doesn't, might need to take for the end when I gain all my weight back. All you skinny people that stay the same size all the time have no idea what it's like to be 3 different sizes on one vacation.

I spend so much time planning the vacation - like probably a lot of us here do. So, I go back and forth between worrying about every last detail and enjoying the anticipation of vacation. I think the anticipation is almost as good as the vacation itself so I try to embrace that as much as possible.

Oh yeah, and since I'm a guy and don't need to get my nails done or worry about dieting before the trip, I drink lots of beer to help get my liver in fighting shape.
