meta; detectors

Post by neisy »

If this question has been asked before, I apologize. I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Are metal detectors allowed on St. John beaches?

Need answers quickly, leaving a week from Thursday!

Thanks everyone, this forum is great!

No, sorry - at least not in the National Park.

Here is the information from their website and their link

"Collecting plants and animals - dead or alive - or inanimate objects, including cultural artifacts, coral, shells, and sand is prohibited. Metal detectors are not allowed anywhere in the Park."

Hi Denise,

no, the National Park does not allow metal detectors on their beaches. You can't use them underwater either, if yours has that capability.

Have a great trip! :D
