Good apps for a 5 yo? Need to keep him occupied for 4 hr fl

Post by PA Girl »

Hi all! I know there are some iphone geeks (and I say that with love) out there.

We are gearing up for our trip to Anguilla and I am looking for app recommendations for our 5 yo. Like memory games, simple math, puzzles, etc. Stuff that will keep his attention.

Searching the store gave me a headache. I don't mind paying a few bucks for one.

My daughter (10) who has a juvenile sense of humor loves this one app where you can shave a guys whiskers. (Shave me) Sometimes they get bloody though.

Doodle buddy

Mirror p lite-everything you draw will be drawn also in mirror image.

Scoops (it is a little hard) catching flying hamburgers and ice creams.

I'm not sure if Pocket Frog is available for the IPhone but I installed it free on my Ipad and my 5 year old son is obsessed.

I second Angry Birds.

Battleship
Plants vs Zombies
Slice It
Penguin Lite
KidArt
Sneezies
First Words
TicTac Free

For in-flight entertainment I also recommend Tag books. The "pen" has a headphone jack. And if he likes to draw, travel Aqua Doodle. All small and easy to transport.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I am going to check them out tonight.

I was warned to stay away from Angry Birds because it is so addictive!
