I am just curious as to what the airfare runs? Contemplating planning a trip next year but have no idea what airfare would be. I know during March we have paid from $360 to $500 non stop from Boston
last year i think we paid about 750 per ticket--it may have been 800 (i am trying to put it out of my mind)---the year before it was about the same (though i flew spirit and we had one ticket on miles and had to buy two--my spirit ticket was the top of their price line as well--
it's very hard to find deals around christmas!!!!!
however, if you have a fleible schedule and can travel a couple of days BEFORE the traditional time of the school break and then return after new years by a couple days you willl probably find it siginificantly less expensive

We flew in Christmas day and I think the tickets were around $3000 for the 5 of us. Honestly, I like St. John better in the summer months, cheaper, warmer an less crowded....not that we didnt have a good time but just sayin

Hi FinsUp. We've been to STJ twice over New Years Eve, leaving the day after Christmas. I'm not sure our flight costs will be relevant, since we flew from Chicago, but the flights definitely seemed higher than off season.
You've probably also noticed the holiday prices for most villas are higher, too: higher than regular in-season rates and sometimes more than twice the off-season rates. I'd love to go in the off-season but we're tied to school schedules and my DH's business schedule (he owns a small biz.) But I will say it's pretty wonderful to leave the cold and snow behind and celebrate the New Year on STJ!

Thanks Chicagoans!! I totally hear you. I am so torn as to if I even want to try it..I definitely have mixed emotions. If we do go at Christmas, March will be more than likely out of the question. We enjoy March so much, it's hard to give that up, for even just one year. But spending New Years on STJ sounds so enticing..oh such decisions! Thanks for your input.. I appreciate it
