Update from Ruth

Post by Xislandgirl »

Just got an email from Ruth.

They do not have power but are doing well

They stayed at the Grateful Shed and they built a solid house, so they had no problems. They headed to Frank Bay to use the generator for coffee and battery charging.

Thanks for keeping us posted X...I really like to hear those first positive reports coming out of such potential disaster! Tell Ruth and Ron our thoughts and prayers are with them and everyone on Island!

I'm happy the house is OK. It seemed nice and sturdy when we visited. Good to hear that they're OK.

How's the rest of the island?

Capt John posted a few pics of Cruz Bay, trees and such down.

I heard that Tortola and Anegada got slammed :(

Thanks so much for updating us. Such a bummer about Anegada and Tortola. Please keep us posted if you hear anything else.

That is good news for Ruth and Ron.
I saw something on the weather channel that showed footage of The "West resort" in St. John's, Great Cruz bay. :D
It looked windy but not that horrible.
I hope everyone is safe.

I was just reading some updates on TTOL from the BVIs. Apparently all boats at Soper's Hole have sunk, cars have been washed into the sea and Bomba's is gone. So devastating.
