Western New Yorkers

Post by Barb Y »

Hi there! My friends and I are looking to plan a trip for next May / June. We live in Rochester and would love to know what airlines, flights, connections you may recommend from the surrounding areas. I usually fly direct out of JFK since I pick up Mom so this will be my first (second but last one was Jet Blue connecting with a small flight out of PR which I was not too crazy about) flying from the Western NY area. I appreciate any thoughts or shared experiences. Thanks!

Most of the time we fly Syracuse to Charlotte to ST. We always check around as the flights are constantly changing.

Congrats on your planning! We fly out of buffalo, usually around 450-550/ticket if that helps. Would love to be closer to a hub just for direct flights, but at leasts it's still east coast. We just flew through jfk one way and lga on the way back. Wouldn't do that again only because we changed airlines and had to go through security at both those terminals again because of the change. Wouldn't do that again!

Hi Barb,

I can see several choices open to you on the Delta web site. You can fly from SYR to JFK and then on to STT and be there before 1 pm. You can also fly to ATL and get to STT before 2 pm. Both have fairly good layover times as well.

Have fun planning your trip.

JIM

We fly Delta, Buffalo to Charlotte or Atlanta, then STT, for about $500.
We live in Jamestown....maybe we should check out Rochester and Syracuse rates.
