And here is what it looked like in 2000, with a new roof.

Yeah, it was an excellent place to sit and have a drink waiting for the inevitable walk of woe. I was sad to see it go. I like the dockside building, but wish they'd have kept the ground floor as a bar/restaurant. There's just not enough bars on St John!

Dockside Pub had really good hot turkey sandwiches and burgers. We miss them also.

Ooooh Ruth. The hot turkey sandwich was my favorite after a night of too many dark and diets. Those ladies would always make me one at 8 am, they just knew when you needed one.

The Dockside was THE place to get that last drink for the road (ferry). Loved (and miss) the ambience...

I loved the new St. John Spice (admit I never ventured into the old St. John Spice); but I do miss the breakfast sandwiches while waiting to catch the ferry for a St. Thomas shopping excursion.
