Ted,
Your house looks awesome! I wanted to rent it for the two of us but it was more than we can swing for next April. I think someone from the forum just stayed there and really liked it.
Don't worry we aren't critics..... :D

Congratulations! What an awesome house - there was no comparison between the houses. Have to put in on our list for next year also.

Love the house. There were good things about all 3 of them, but I would have done the same thing. I hope to be picking one in the next five years or so.

Ted - Great house. We'd have picked that one too.

And to think that the lack of office space was going to be a deal breaker. You chose wisely.

LOL, my son called to tell me that the show was going to be on last night so we watched. Glad HGTV got it right. I def also thought that you picked the right house. It is beautiful, had the best name and most importantly had the A/C throughout which is big for us New Englanders who aren't used to the heat. (For example, it's June 22nd and todays high is gonna be 62!)

Being nosy though and wondering how many houses you really looked at? Can't be just three was it??? :?:

Have to say we loved your house in NC! Just wow!~ :D
Hoping for a USVI ticker in 2013!

Houses

Post by tedprosser »

We looked at more that 25 houses on St John in person, over 100 online, several on Virgin Gorda. Banana Wind
( We changed the name of the villa to "Into The Mystic" big Van fans) was hands down the best value and the best lot, lots of plants and privacy! We did a lot of work to the villa AFTER we bought it and before the show, We added decks hot tub,and gutted the down stairs etc.. Makes me tired thinking about it.. Construction on STJ is a nightmare, even if your in the construction business

The office thing being to small was the producers idea to add something we did not like about Into The Mystic The office works ok because we run all of our businesses from a laptop!!

We thank all you for your kind words.

We worked all day filming the show, and all night finishing up the house, with no sleep and drinking lots of beer!! We look liked HELL, thank God there were no close ups!!

my wife and I loved the show. However!!!!!!!!!
We had great fun with your line about getting away from the cold in the winter.

Being from New England we go to NC / SC in the winter to get away from the cold

Congratulations! I loved the villa. I always wondered about the number of homes buyers looked at in reality. Enjoy your new vacation home!
