Ever been to Apple Bay Tortola??

Hubby and I are NJ beach goers and would love to get a little body surfing in while in VI. Is it possible to get there from Soggy Dollar??

Apple Bay is in Tortola,,,I was thinking it was on the other side of Jost..

Hi! I love Tortola and I have seen people surfing on Apple Bay in Jan or Feb when the water tends to have a bit of a break but the problem with body surfing is that it is a very shallow shore break and the bottom is really rocky and not free of spiny sea urchins. Coming from a family of surfers I just don't think Tortola is the ideal for surfers, but there are die hards who surf it. I hear Barbados is not bad in that regard but I can't say first hand. Your best bet for body surfing IMO is one of the sandy North Shore Beaches of St. John...Cinnamon leaps to mind...from Dec-March.
