I know which one they choose :)

This must have been filmed quite sometime ago maybe 10 months - they got a great deal

Off to watch the "reveal"

That was fun to watch! I thought they were going to choose #3 - that would have been my pick.

Does anyone know the name of the villa that they purchased?

It closed April 2008 so I was close :)

As far as a name, it did not have one at the time and I'm not sure if it has been named now or not - I don't believe it is in the rental market.

As far as the electricity rates...........welcome to STJ  At the time this was probably filmed, electricity rates on STJ were at an all time high and if you were to run a/c all day in all rooms $3,000 per month would have been about right.

I was a little surprised they kept talking about "walking to town". :? I would assume it's a rental??? Beautiful home!!

Two of my soccer teammates were on a post-Katrina House Hunters and filled us in on a little secret about the show...they had actually already had the house under contract when the show started filming.

The show took them to two other houses and also to the house they had picked...kinda of a let down knowing that's what happens behind the scenes.

Actually you have to own the home fully before they will film - they contacted all Realtors on STJ when they were looking to film to find out who might have recently closed a property at the time they wanted to be on STJ.

The first property was at Sirenusa  the second in Rendezvous - not walkable at all, and the third might have been walkable as town was all down hill, coming home not so much - and not a "short" walk either - I wouldn't do it

Oh no, I can't believe this!

I'm sure it's on my DVR because I watch the show all the time.

Who are the traders that voted for STJ?
