We have Palm Tree booked for an all day charter. We will snorkel early then head directly to Jost. Have lunched at Foxy's a dozen times, so looking for somewhere different to eat on JVD. Any reconmmendations? Taboo for lunch? Other?

We'll "wind down" the day at the Soggy Dollar.

Sidneys Peace and Love is also a popular spot...

I second Sidney's. Great setting, best t-shirts, fantastic food, NICE people, and pour your own drinks.

Unless you specifically don't want to eat at White Bay since that will be your final segment, the Roti or Flying Fish Sandwich at SDB or the Lobster Salad Sandwich at Seddy's are outstanding.

We had lunch at Taboo last year and it was the best lunch we had on the whole vacation.

Seddy's is great and Gertrude's has a very good chicken roti. Hot dogs at Jewels!!

One thing to consider is that your Captain will probably get a comp lunch at the Soggy Dollar.

Cheers, RickG

Is Taboo a walk from Foxy's and, if so, can 70+ year old mom make it? Or, can you boat there?

JED - Foxy's Taboo is on the opposite side of the island from where the regular Foxy's is...

We like to eat at Gertrudes. She always has a great lunch menu.

I didn't know people ate on Jost. I thought they just drank painkillers.

I really liked Sidney's for a change. But then again, if I have lobster in front of me, I'm a very happy woman :D . We ate in air conditioning which felt like a nice break from the heat since we were on a boat all day. We were at Taboo in November and it had sort of a Mediterranean inspired menu like kebobs and such. They do still have a basic burger though. Seddy's has a nice menu now but we only shared a lobster quesadilla and it was OK. My vote goes to Sidney's, especially if you like lobster.
