I just got back from a 2 day conference. I don't have a laptop so I went on one of the computers in the lobby to find that THIS forum was blocked because of sexual content, etc, blah, blah, blah....

really? hmmmm
But I could go on MySpace and Facebook and Yahoo and such.
I just fond that interesting- and frustrating!

You have every reason to be upset and you should never go back to that place again, conference or not

I have heard of this happening a couple of times - I think the reason may be sloppy administration of a firewall - i.e. blocking a wide range of IPs that somehow include ours... anyway I am hoping that is the case!

funny. I am able to get to it on my work computer and we have pretty strict firewall rules.

The words "coconut bra" set off screeching alarms on smut censors in many civilized societies.

I just want to know where this blocked sexual content is...
All I can find is some "food porn" and too many references to drinking!

Could it be the word "virgin" in the address?

Yes, that's probably it.
I can just see Beverly's new tourism slogan now:
"Virgin Islands...like Fantasy Island, only different."

Seriously that could be it and that was what I meant by sloppy system administration. The person setting up the firewall may have added domains to block and used very broad keywords, like "virgin"...
