One night on St Thomas

Post by cjroyer »

I know this has been talked about before but I can't ever get the search option to work well for me. We are coming to St John in November but are staying Friday night in St Thomas. There will be 4 couples and I am looking for a place that is most importantly clean and not too expensive. We stayed at the Green Iguana last year but want something different this year. I remember reading about the Crystal Palace but I don't think there are 4 rooms available for when we need it. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks...

The Best Western Emerald Beach is reasonable(IMHO) and you are 2 minute from the airport, it has a beach, beach bar and restaurant. We traveled with our 3 kids last summer and stay there the first night and it was great to grab you luggage and be on the beach a 1/2 hour later. We took the 11:00 am ferry from CA to St. John the next day. Beachcomber is also next to it and people have mentioned it as cheaper option that the BW and it shares the same beach.

Second the Inn at Villa Olga recommendation. Gorgeous water views and a nice pool too.

cjroyer, make sure you say hi to Capt. Jay from the forum. He works at the CYOA base across from Hook Line & Sinker.

Hi Rick - I've read Hook Line and Sinker is a good place to eat so we'll probably have dinner there and I'll try to remember to say "hi". Thanks...
