"Is there a coffee grinder at Cara Mia?"

This is the question that Chip just asked me as he was setting up our grind and brew for the morning with some Kiss of the Jumbie.

I'm not even asking any more, I'm just packing my travel grinder!

One of those nice bronze turkish grinders works great!

We roast our own beans. Let me tell ya, beans go downhill about two weeks after you roast them. You are better off bringing good ground fresh roasted beans than grinding old roasted beans. But, beans go down hill very fast once you grind them. We seem pretty happy with a fresh ground from one of the local roasters. Greenberry's and Quartermaines are our good roasters.

Cheers, RickG

Rick - You brew your own beer, roast your own coffee beans... is there anything you don't do?

Another home roaster! Cool! We should compare notes sometime, offline so we don't bore everyone else

Is there a place to get fresh beans on STJ, or should I bring my own? My turkish mill and Aeropress are a given!

Time to start working on convincing the wife that we have to go back soon!
