1. Why did so many other countries join us in the invasion of Iraq? Do you think they thought that Sadom was not a threat? The fact is that Clinton had dismantled the CIA to the point that all the intelligence was flawed. The rest of the free world's intel pointed to WMD's in Iraq. Halliburton is a publically traded company. Why didn't you invest some money in them if you thought they were on the take? You had it figured out so well, but you failed to finish the transaction. Your bad.

3. The US of A did not go it alone (see above). I don't really care what the rest of the world thinks about us, really I don't. Maybe if you have a daughter you would like her to live in Saudi Arabia. Who are you so afraid of?

What you are fed up with is Republicans who claim to be conservative but act like free spending Democrats. John McCain is not a conservative nor was W.
Cheers!
Ok, so let's name these "so many other countries" that "joined" us in invading Iraq based on the intelligence
Bush's own advisors told him wasn't substantiated. I'd love to see the intel reports that you claim "the rest of the free world" had proving that Iraq had WMD's. Where is it? The fact is it doesn't exist. It had nothing to do with Clinton gutting the CIA. Bush ignored the advice of his advisors and evidence that refuted the existence of WMD's because he was already determined to go to Iraq.
Strong arming a few weak countries into joining us is hardly a Coalition as King George proclaimed. These were merely countries that were in a poor position to tell the US, no. Canada rightfully told us where to stick it as did many others. In fact the number of our "allies" that didn't join us far outnumber the amount that did join. Even some who "willingly" joined us bailed out as soon as possible because they had no support for it at home. We would have a lot more support today in Afghanistan if we hadn't falsely invaded Iraq.
As far as Haliburton goes, I find it mildly amusing that Sox can't even come up with a statement to defend Haliburton (read BushCheneyburton) so he immediately moves on to attack funding Acorn. The fact is the contracts to Haliburton were handed, gift wrapped, to them without any competition! I too am suspicious and slightly outraged by the whole Acorn thing. Despite the apparent graft and corruption at Acorn, at least they provide services and housing to Americans. Sox says, "Hey at least we got something from Haliburton".
What exactly did we get for the billions we handed to Haliburton? I'd much rather they spent that money fixing our bridges, schools and roads here than pay for $600 hammers in a country we never should have destroyed in the first place.
So, Bush the great uniter was able to bring China to the table in the North Korea conflict. On the surface that may seem like an accomplishment, but it's not like China didn't have a vested interest in keeping us from bombing the crap out of them. Also adding one party, China, to the talks hardly makes them the multilateral talks that the rest of the world were looking for. Again Bush thumbs his nose at the general consensus around the world and decides to "go it alone" again. Making the appearance of reaching out when you're really not, and tooting your own horn the whole time just reinforces that "cowboy" image that worked so well for Regan but just made Bush look like an idiot.
"In relation to Vermont...Your cheese is outstanding. Your politicians, not so much. State's exhibit 1: Howard Dean. I wish he would've stayed in medicine."
Talk about being stuck in 2004!! You can say what you want about Howard Dean, but he's a huge reason you are on the outside looking in. I'm still not sure how "the yell" somehow made him unelectable. I think he scared the crap out of people on both sides of the aisle. His own party buried him in favor of John Kerry. Kinda sad...I'm not sure if he would have won or if it would have been a good thing for us at the time, but I certainly don't think he got a fair deal. I think he got Ross Perot'd. He scared too many people so they effectively silenced him.

Ok, I had to laugh at this one. I am soooooo busted! It didn't even register that Freedom and Unity is our state moto.

It still sounds like the rhetoric from right-wing radio! I still don't recall you "consertvatives" complaining while Bush spent 8 years burying our grandchildren's grandchildren in debt.
I have noticed in both your postings that whenever I go out of my way to address your rants you never have anything to reply, you simply blurt out something completely off topic or out of context to divert the attention away from the fact that you have no meaningful reply to the original topic. For instance we were referring to the no-bid Haliburton contracts, but since they were basically indefensible, you divert to Acorn. Which may also be hard to defend, but has absolutely nothing to do with Bush, Cheney or Haliburton! Ok, maybe Acorn received money on the Bush watch too, but hey that's completely different too...right?
We were discussing the invasion of Iraq based on faulty intelligence and how we had a lack of world support. You couldn't really defend that either, so you defer to discussing China/North Korea...also completely irrelevant.
It appears your discussion tactics are - "right out of the Rules for Radicals Handbook!" Ignore the obvious and then change the subject....good job!
