The noodle! hahahaha! How could I forget? And the alcohol consumption post, I asked my husband if he thought we might have a problem and all he wanted to know was whether the liquor bottles were empty. I guess if they were, it would be an alcohol problem! But, obsessed? I resemble that remark.

That was a funny post about the alcohol consumption!! I'll try to look for it today! There have been a lot of fun posts over the years. I especially remember (from the old forum) JSS3 and way to old bantering back and forth. Jorge's first trip report was a hoot, I remember laughing so hard at that one!!

BUT, if I were to vote...........hands down Rob in the grass skirt. WERE THERE CUSTOMERS IN STORE????

Jan and MikeVa, I agree about way2old and JSS3! Those two were a blast. I still miss them with the sea squirrel warnings and the warnings about using Deet.

Gosh, this probably goes back to the old AOL board. When Marcia and I first visited STJ, we stopped into STJ Spice many times to meet Ruth. She never was there. Well, we assumed that there really was no Ruth...that she was a myth, like the Easter Bunny. So, we started posting that there was no Ruth...just like there is no Easter Bunny.

Hence, Ruth's avitar picture...and, thanks to Ruth, it is why we have two magnetic bunnies on our refrigerator doing unspeakable things to each other.

OMG, those old AOL board days were a hoot. No one had met Ruth. So, she was just a myth. Ten years ago, when she met us at the ferry dock (the old one) with an Easter basket, she became real.

Now I believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, and all things mythical.

jorge's pwt trip reports stand out on my mind as being epically (yup I made that word up) funny.

remember though, those reports caused a lot of controversy and we lost some posters. some people just can't handle laughing so hard that snots come out of your nose. and they couldn't help but read things that offended them (hmmmmm).

i liked pip's (rob's) trip report and most recently his latest adventures with his mortage-challenged relatives.

vicki's mil & either gromit or flip flop's mil stories cracked me up. mil stories always crack me up and comfort me knowing that i am not alone .

I think y'all are pretty funny around here. BenChill and the prescription goggles are the best, but there are so many trip reports that crack me up. I always think I'm good at trip reports (when I have time to write them), and then I read everyone else's. Gromit's mother-in-law with her strappy sandals and sarong, the donkeys, anything Rob writes, funny, funny stuff.

Didn't someone one time post about seeing KC talking to one of their kids on the beach and thinking he was a 12-year-old boy? I can't remember if that was here or "the other board," but I remember laughing coffee out of my nose!

My favorite funny moment: Pete's "Men of the Board....step up" post in response to one too many female posts about swimsuits and beauty products. Hilarious.

The Blue Bucket.

I had almost forgotten. Since some of you don't know, the "blue bucket" was part of my May 2005 trip report. We had my mother-in-law in tow (AGAIN), and she believes she should sit up front with my husband whenever we go anywhere and I should sit in back. On other trips, I had been the dutiful DIL and actually sat my unhappy butt in the back, but not this time. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to get her in and out of the back of the Jeep. Hence, the blue bucket. We had to carry it everywhere we went and use it to launch her up into the back. She would stand up on it and we would have to shove her from behind to get her in. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I did feel bad for you. All us "Daughter-in-Laws" go through this grief for one reason or another. But to take it on a vacation........you're a saint!
