Hey Tiger Prof-- I am in Charlotte. Love it here. I am still blown away by Lake Ontario. It is no STJ but large bodies of water are always calming for me.

Xislandgirl, this was the best idea! You all should post, you lurkers, you! (Yes, I mean YOU!) Reading this thread I see how many long-time multiple trip vacationers are owning up to lurking. You should post! I bet you have insights that we all could learn from. Share, please! :D
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Sorry I missed the VIOL delurking day! Just back from our favorite beach here - Pawleys Island, SC. Was a wonderful week, but spent a lot of it looking forward to our first trip to St John which is in THREE weeks!!! I have been lurking for a few months, learning what I can! Thanks for all the advice you guys have to offer! Keep up the good posting!

I missed delurking day, unfortunately. I am assuming it is not too late to delurk. We are headed back to St. John for our second trip in May (very far away!!). Based on all of the positive comments made by Vicki we are staying at Sunnyledge. I am just hoping that the airfares aren't going to kill us!!

Will you be taking USAir? Their fares are crazy lately and I don't envy you watching those prices. We just booked for May 2009 and normally we'd take USAir from PHL but we are going Continental out of Newark now. With taxes we are paying $408 a person. I jumped on the chance to book that fare rather than waiting for USAir to budge.

Right now I am looking at a direct flight with Continental out of Newark. The fare is $438. That seems pretty reasonable to me under the circumstances. Not certain if I should pull the trigger yet or wait and see if a better offer comes along.

I know a Panama City FL boy who lurks everyday and needs to come out of his shell! C'mon Capt. Dan, it's liberating to be lurk-less!!

I guess I'm a lurker...addicted to this forum...read it almost everyday...been to stj once and loved it...can't wait to visit again...i will have to get my stj fix through the forum for now...my son is entering his 2nd year of college and I'm going to have to pay that bill instead of having my toes in the stj sand  Oh...and I wanted to say thank you for all the great info I got from the forum...the friends that I traveled with called me Julie McCoy
