Lindy ~ Glad you like it. I love it too. I wear it proudly. It reminds me of my Mom who always loved the hummingbirds. I know you're a proud Mom of a daughter that has designed some of her own tattoos, so please if you get a hummingbird don't copy mine too closely. My daughter drew it especially in memory of her grandma that we all loved and miss very much. Thanks for understanding.

Not brave enough to get a real one... but DH and I enjoyed showing off our (fake) tats for at least one night!

Too bad you can't see my handcuff-belt in this shot - quite charming.

Hilarious!

Flip and I went for a girlz week-end to stay at a friends place in Lewisburg, WV and one of the highlights of the trip was visit to the WV state fair

(OMG-- it was people watching heaven! My favorite moment was the 7 months pregnant woman walking with a cigarette in one hand a beer in the other-- seriously TRAGIC! Oh and STYX was the star band-- Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto) Seriously PRICELESS!

But I digress... anyway they were offering airbrush tattoos. Yes, that's right airbrush tattoos.

Most of the girlz got one and I did too. Mine was a heart with barbed wire and flames coming off the sides. I got it on my upper arm and it stayed on for nearly a week.

But that's not the funny part. The REALLY funny part is that we went tubing down the river the next day and I got a LOT of sun.

Turns out that once the colors from the tattoo wore off, I ended up with tanned-in version of the tattoo that lasted for over a month. It was an odd thing to have to explain to people.
*Another fine scatterbrained production

Two Tattoos

Post by tdillow »

I have two tattoos.

#1) Right shoulder of the St. John petroglyph about 4in wide and about 2-3in tall.

#2) Left shoulder blade of the Southern Cross constilation. Each star is a nautical star with color of each of my son's birth stones.

It took me a while because I couldn't decide if I would want them when I'm old. A good friend enlightened my one day by saying, "I just figure when I'm old, I won't care anymore". It made sense to me.
