got a Rhode Island one last night.
Are we saving any state quarters now? or still just VI or one with "Island" on it?

The following quarters qualify:

The state you live in.
West VIRGINia
VIRGINia
Rhode ISLAND
Virgin Islands

I have decided to match each quarter with $1 to up the ante.

Is it me or are these quarters harder to find than a Joshie roaming the pages of this forum.

I should have posted the results for Q1 earlier, but here we go anyway.

Virgin Island Quarters = 10
Massachusetts (my state) Quarters = 4
Rhode Island Quarters = 6
Virginia Quarters = 9
West Virginia Quarters = 3

TOTAL = 32 ($8.00)

My match of $1 per quarter found = $32

Q1 (Jan thru Mar) Donation Total = $40

Hope to have better luck in Q2!

Much, much harder to find than a Joshie!

Well... maybe not.

So far we have four - two VI, one Virginia and one RI. Looks like we will have to fudge the final count or watch for the Wells Fargo guy!

Sorry folks I haven't been on the forum too much lately. A ton on the plate over the past few months, but I have still been collecting the quarters. I am hoping others have remembered this and continued to do so also.

The 1 and only one I've found so far is at work and sits proudly on my desk next to my pc monitor along with a little sea turtle I bought at St John Spice to remind me of good times past and those yet to come!

Well michigancouple since I'm from Michigan too and seeing how Michigan's economy stinks worse than everyone else's economy I am proud to say I can at least see you one VI quarter and raise you a VI quarter. Seriously I'm glad to see this post is still kicking around. I remember when I first read it and I thought it was a good idea. Of course I read it right after I got my first and only VI quarter. Sorry michigancouple I don't have another one yet I was bluffing! I will keep looking but I think I might have to get creative and come up with matching $$$.

Boston Mike, quit hoarding all the Boston area quarters! Leave some for me!!

After all this time, I have only found one. I got it in a bagel shop as change. I still have it tucked away in a special place.
