The smile that never leaves my face while I am there - even when I split my head open and ruin my camera. Those things would bother me at home- not there.

The fact that Vicki can start this post late morning and already have over 1300 hits by late afternoon! That pretty much says it all.

For us...that beautiful water against the green rolling hills. It's so lush.

PEOPLE! Both the people I meet - locals and visitors - as well as the person I am while on STJ.

Good question! ONE favorite thing........I feel more calm and relaxed there than anywhere else I've ever been.

Sorry Vicki I can't follow directions very well so I hope you don't mind me adding a few

Favorite pre-wifey trips memories; not realizing that I needed A/C to be comfortable there. Drinking rum punch out of a bucket at Cinnamon Bay. Hitchhiking to town and hanging out at the Backyard talking with the likes of Doug and Snoopy until 0-dark thirty and having to beg the police for a ride back to camp because no taxis were available, they were very accomodating to my group of drunk friends more than once!!.

Favorite pre-child trip memories; proposing to my wife on the hammock at the Gallows Point beach. Incredible honeymoon memories!!

Favorite recent memories; watching my wifes eyes well up as we approach the dock each time we arrive. And my favorite thing is the tradition my daughter and I have of kayaking out to a deserted Whistling Cay and watching her light up with excitement even though she has done this a dozen times.

Thanks for the memories Vicki!

Sitting at Francis on our first full day there, staring at the one "lone" palm tree perched between the crest of the 2 hills.

My favorite thing is all the visitors here on vacation enjoying themselves. It always gives me a happy feeling.

Thanks Vicki for asking and thank you all for sharing. Just wondering how many of the St John residents/forum members read this and teared up like I just did. Living in Paradise has its challenges but thanks to you all, I will look at those today with different eyes.
