You are having a blast here... Feel for your husband @ the iguanas. My DD had one for years and he was the sweetest thing, loved her kids and was so gentle. But he was a pet,not one living in its natural setting. A big diff. Like most postings here, don't feed them and all s/b well. I would think the mongooses would be a bigger prob. taking your food etc.

On the days the cruise ships are in, head to the east end beaches, the tours stick to the north shore area and Cruz Bay. That's why we're staying in Coral Bay, stay away from all that. If need noise, crowds, jump in the jeep & head over there.

We too are bringing frozen foods down in a Polar cooler as a carry-on and also sending stuff down ahead of time via USPS to Connections. There are some good postings @ this here. Or can email me and will give you the info I have.

What excitement you must be feeling making these plans ! And talking to everyone here.

They're a great bunch of people aren't they?
No ticker anymore. Next vac will prob. be the Fl Keys.

Thanks for that photo Jimm. Not sure where you found but it is awesome. I knew we were close to the beach but I didn't know how close. Nice!

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that answered all my planning questions. You guys were a big help. We are officially BOOKED!!! WOOOHOO!! I am so excited!

Tipsy thanks for the tips. I have looked at some of the cooler info and I think we have decided to take some of our own food down as well. I may send you a pm on the subject. We were originally planning on staying in Coral Bay to get away from all the people in Cruz, but we found Limin' Time and fell in love with it, plus we are spending a week on VG and I hear that is pretty remote.

So that's it guys! We leave on April 27th and return on May 18th. Hope to run into some of you guys! Now I need a ticker. Hmmmmm.

It's actually from Google Earth. I like to map out villa's in my spare time. Can't wait to hear a report back on Limin' Time. Looks like you'll be the first from this Board to stay there.

OK if he is afraid of iguanas do not go to the Westin resort - they have a daily feeding and they are freely roaming the property :)

On cruise ship days, Maho and Francis on the North Shore don't seem to be affected. Maho is our favorite of all the beaches, with Francis a close second.
Wisconsin, smell the dairy air

I second that emotion,Marcia!
Elle-
We'll be there from 4/24-5/04, hopefully we'll run into you all. You'll undoubtedly fall in love with that delicious little place!
We've been bringing a softsided cooler with us for years, and plan to do it again in April. Since I pack extremely light, we either use it to bring back any souvenirs that we picked up along the way, or just mush it up back into our other checked bag.
Like others, we bring goodies from Omaha Steaks-steak,chicken,burgers,dogs,etc...but also some lunchmeat, blocks of cheese, and breakfast meats.
It's seems like a chore to some, but to us it's a relief walking into the villa and having a bunch of 'basics' ready for the fridge.
Good times to come, hope to run into you!
Smiles-
MJ
