LysaC wrote:halters= neck pain in my book. I have a suit right now that has a strange halter/strap hybrid and the halter part is always putting pressure on my neck. the strap part is not "pulling it's weight". this is the main reason why i'm looking for a new suit. otherwise, the suit i have now is fine.
I have a suit like that and I HATE it, for the same reasons you do.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I have been wearing the "It Figures" brands for years now and absolutely LOVE THEM. I buy the Shirtini's, not the tankini's! I feel so comfy in them. QVC sells them as other posters have said but i've gotten all mine off e-bay! They are brand new with tags and panty shield still on them. Companies like QVC farm out their returns to companies that sell on E-Bay and I've never ever gotten one damaged, used, etc. Orig. prices are around 78-98 and I've gotten mine off e-bay for 29.99! Fashion Bug sells them also in the summer months!

FYI - update: I'm sending back the suit I got from Venus. It fits like crap! And it's not just the halter part, which admittedly is not good, but it just doesn't "fit" period! It's big enough for me, but it's constructed weird. Back it goes!

I've been very happy with a tankini from Athleta.com, all of their clothing is very good quality, fits well and holds up nicely. Worth it.

Oh, that sucks. I've always had such luck with Venus; aside from the comment I made earlier about the cup size being a little on the shy side. What are you going to do now? BYW, did you see my mini trip report on SF?

Marcia - I have 3 good one-piece suits, so I'm not "suit-less, exactly, but I thought it would be good to have a 2-piece for our time on the boat.... much more convenient! I'll send back the Venus one and keep searching. Now that I've tried that one on, I know what to look for in the next one. I think I can get a less-expensive one, anyway. :D

I didn't see your SF report, I just got back from Cabo yesterday. I'll hop over to the OT forum and check it out! :D
