Anyone have recent photos of the mega mansion at Peter Bay?
Hi Beach Doc/Lawyer/Prof,
You certainly have made a spectacular entry here. I've often felt that this forum lacked diversity. For quite some time there's been a shortage of people who were full of rage and disdain and were willing to lash out and personally insult and demean people. So often the tactics here are pretty passive-agressive.
Welcome aboard, although from your comments and obvious disgust with this forum and the people on it, it seems unlikely that we'll be seeing you around (if you'd be interested in knowing about some other forums that might be better fitted to your style, let me know).

Gee, Lex, you sound like BeachDr might not meet up at the Beach Bar doing belly button shots with other Forumites.

I have no place for rage and disdain in my life. On that same token, I don't understand people that lash out and insult people on the internet. It is cowardly and just plain foolish. It is similar to writing an anonymous letter. The words hold no significance if you don't know the person delivering them. If that is what you are looking for, I would kindly say that you may want to move on to another forum.Lex wrote:Hi Beach Doc/Lawyer/Prof,

I would suggest that Anthony lock this post as I don't see anything good coming of this. It started as a debate about a house and has turned into a childish fight about who is the better person based on their opinions.
Forum friends, I have a story I would like to share! It starts like this:
One upon a time there were three billy goats gruff. One day, they decided that they wanted to eat some berries which grew on a hill across the river from where they lived. To get to the berries, they had only to cross over a bridge. But, under this bridge lived a big, bad troll.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Here's a link to a website that identifies various internet personality disorders:

The most effective treatment for most of them is to ignore them. Before long they get bored and move on to some other forum.

BeachDr - After checking your profile, I see that you joined the forum nearly a year ago (June 07), and up until recently you have just been lurking without posting, therefore, I should think you would know better than to post something so obviously hostile with all that nasty name-calling. I also wonder how you could analyze how "green" that house is from just looking at a picture... I'm with the others who have said you must have an interest in that Rock Monster.
You've posted only twice. Your first post was friendly and nice, your second post is nasty and caustic.
Welcome to the forum, now go home!

Well this thread turned out quite interesting for someone just asking for pics. I'm just a simple man happy with his lot in life but if I had that kind of $$$$$$ I might build something like that. I think its gorgeous thanks for the pics. I remember the first time I seen it a couple years ago as I was snorkeling around the point at Trunk. I went back and told my wife there was an old castle around the bend.I had not even heard of Peterbay at the time. Maybe the owners will get in over there heads and all the forum peeps could pool our funds together and buy it and have a forum mansion. Boy we could have some great partys. Heck Kenny C would probably even show up
Hey look at it this way in a few hundred years it might make a really cool ruins to visit.

We felt an earthquake on STJ the morning we were preparing to leave for the airport June 3, 2007. We were staying in Calypso del Sol. It was a loud rumbling noise & some shaking for several seconds. We weren't sure what it was until we got to the ferry & was told it was an earthquake.TropicAtHeart wrote:Not to scare anyone, but that whole region and string of islands throughout the West Indies were formed by lava and there's still volcanic activity in the area. I'm curious. Has anyone been on island (STT or STJ) and felt an earthquake? I was on island when there was one, but I didn't feel it. On the otherhand, I DID feel the one that hit us in Ohio a number of years ago. Yes, I said Ohio. It shook our house pretty good.msgcolleen wrote:I have such a weird feeling that a mini earthquake is going to hit Peter Bay and knock that house right into the sea!
The rest of the island will be just fine . . .

Wow........I was having a boring Sun. afternoon until I read this post. DrBeach.....you seem to have issues, but after reading your resume again, I see lots of people with your background on CNN, and they all seem to have anger problems. I LOVE my HOUSTON mini McMansion. (no offense taken to your Dallas slur) I could never afford it if I lived in the NE. I love my gas gulping car. I don't even mind the oil companies making a great profit. There was a time when oil and gas was not very profitable. If the owners invited me stay in that aweful place for a couple of weeks, I sure wouldn't say no. Lighten up and be happy. Life's too short to be mad all the time.
