Got my issue in the mail today! Was showing it off to my friends- proud of my "forum friends" and their accomplishments! This makes me want to send something in next year.... who knows? Congrats again!

I agree, there should be a professional category. That's just a no-brainer.

BTW, I think those textured pictures look stupid in magazines, etc..

They are more like art to me than photography.

soonthe beach..you should send something in! I wasn't going to but my friend badgered me until I did. Didn't think I had a shot in hell. I have a couple others I want to enter next year that I actually think are good (which means the judges won't..ha ha).

Last year and the year before they had a category for "digitally altered" photos, and I noticed they didn't have that category this year. I can't remember if they had a "professional" category or not, though. I really like Matt's picture, but it definitely shouldn't compete against us tourists.

Agree... there should be a "professional" category. Still, two of the forum members have won prizes this year, which is fantastic.
