I hate when people say, "My bad". It drives me nuts and of course my 11 year old loves it....

I also hate driving over long bridges - really freaks me out. You'll see me with my flashers on going about 20mph and holding on to the steering wheel for dear life (not really, yet!) This is a pretty new thing, last few years, and I have no idea why.

The "my bad" thing doesn't bother me. It started with sports. If you screw up, let's say drop a pass, you go back to the huddle and tell the QB, "my bad." I always thought it was a nice way of saying, it wasn't you, it was me.

On the other hand, I am so with you on the bridge thing...and it is recent for me, as well. Have you ever been on the bridge that goes over Tampa Bay? That was where it first hit me. I won't go on that bridge again...ever.

Don't even get me started with what happened on the "Sunshine Bridge" a week ago; trying to get to the airport at 5:30 AM. I have no problem with bridges but now, I will NEVER, EVER, drive that particular bridge or, hell, anywhere in FLA on a highway at that time of day.

Ooh... Tracy reminded me...

I hate it when people say "if you will" in a sentence. And "it's all good," which, unfortunately I have now picked up.

I also hate it when people say "It's like deja vu all over again!" Deja vu IS all over again, what is this, Groundhog Day?

Sports rears its ugly head again. The Deja vu quote is from Yogi Berra, a former baseball player and manager. It's joke. He was known for his silly quotes, like this famous one: "Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical."

I used to have a recurring nightmare that involved driving a very steep and tall bridge with very short guardrails.

Then I drove the bridge to Coronado in San Diego as thought my "dream" had come true!

I agree... riding across that bridge on a windy day....

Admire them, but hate to drive on cable-stayed bridges.

LOL Pete! I didn't know Yogi Berra coined that. I thought all the newcasters were just idiots! (But I still think they are!) LOVE the baseball quote!

Do any of you bridge people remember hearing about "Gallopin' Gertie" (better known as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington State)? I've gone over this bridge since it was rebuilt, but it always gives me the creeps. No other bridge does that to me.

I can't stand onions and refuse to eat them!

BUT! I do love the smell of them frying in a pan. Go figure.

I don't like COFFEE! I can kind of understand the appreciation of the smell. But please don't ruin perfectly good chocolate or ice cream with the flavor of coffee. Yuck!

oh, oh, oh,
I thought of something else. I *hate* when friend who used to communicate with me via email, feel the need to communicate with me on the wall of my facebook account. There is no reason on god's green earth that all of my 239 friends need to know that you and I should go get a pedicure sometime this week!
