We will definitely be having a black & gold Mardi Gras this year! Tom Benson will be the Grand Marshal of Endymion this year. Drew Brees will lead the Krewe of Bacchus & Coach Sean Peyton will lead the Krewe of Orpheus. What a wonderful celebration this could be if the Saints were to win the Superbowl - at this point we can only continue to dream! Either way the City of New Orleans is so proud of our Saints.

Congrats to the Saints - too bad my Jets couldn't keep up in the second half - that would have been a good rematch. Tough games this weekend - Minn. could have won that game - but I think the Saints have a lot of karma working for them.

OMG - I have never been so proud of the Saints! Being in the Superdome last night was something that I will never forget. Call it karma or call it luck - I think it was just the energy of the crowd that carried the team to victory. The Vikings played a great game, but the Saints played better. Bring on the Colts!

Geaux Saints

pinch me

It took me 30 minutes to get though to anyone back home after the game. All circuits were hammered!

I couldn't get any calls out after the game either - we learned after Katrina - it's easier to get a text message out when all circuits are busy!

I think everyone in the city has taken the day off - many people called in sick with black & gold fever!

Wakey - do you have anyone locally that has gotten a copy of the Times Picayune for you? The cover of the Living Section is priceless with a picture of Buddy D wearing a wedding dress!

Gotta cheer for the Colts and my boy Peyton but I'm glad Archie is gonna finally get to go to the Super Bowl (and the Ain'ts...you know the guys wearing paper bags over their heads back when).

Once again Olivia is in a can't lose situation, and she likes it that way I'm sure!!!

Archie Manning already told the the Saints fans that he is 100% pulling for the Colts. You can't blame him - as a parent his son should come before his old team. The Mannings have done a lot for the city of the New Orleans & I am sure that there are a lot of Saints fans that will be secretly pulling for Peyton too.

As for Bourbon Street on Super Bowl Sunday - if last night was any indication of what it will be like on that day - it will resemble what it is like on Mardi Gras!

Very happy for the Saints, but jeez, I thought their defense was better than that. About the only thing the Saints defense was good at against the Vikes was knocking the ball loose causing fumbles. They will need to play a whole lot better to have a chance against the Colts. The early money is flowing to the Colts, with the line already moving from 4 to 5 ½.

Props to the Jets for some brilliant play calling in the first half and you just have to tip your hat to Manning. Before he started figuring things out and completing some easy passes, he completed some throws to well covered receivers where you said wow, how the heck did he squeeze THAT one in? Plus, Phil Sims made a great observation about how at 6 ft 6, he gets up on his toes and can throw over that wall of pressure that was coming to complete those quick in routes. The Saints have their work cut out for them.
