Yeah!!! I bet no one else here but me and you have seen this band. I saw them at the Beacon Theater in NY City.

As I read all the shows you have all seen.....I remember 'oh yes I saw them'......guess my memory is going.

I will say I loved seeing the Stones in Vegas and I think it was 2002..could not believe how much energy Mick still has.....

There is a very cool musical vibe and chooses on this board........this is fun, thanks for starting this post

Definitely cool. They were so great live! Did you know that Peter Garrett is in the Australian House of Representatives now?

Many wasted days and wasted nights. The list is long, but I'll not succumb to probing shaky memories. Here's some important ones:
James Taylor - Brown Univ Spring Weekend, 1969. He played outside. We had no money so we gathered in groups and rushed the snow fence past weak security (first free concert).
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Constitution Hall, 1974. Sitting in the center of the floor. Orange barrels may have been part of the mid-expanding musical experience.
Throw in some biggies - Stones, Dead, Who, Zeppelin, Root Boy Slim.
JJ Cale - 5 times.
John Prine - many times at the Cellar Door and Birchmere.
Steve Earl - 5 or 6 times. Saw him open for Mary Chapin Carpenter at Ruth Ekerd Hall in Clearwater. He chased away all the blue-hairs with ROCKIN' cuts from Trancendental Blues.
Warren Zevon - last concert at State Theater in Arlington, VA. His pipes were failing and he was very accepting of his mortality.
Last show? Steve Earle unplugged at Birchmere
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I'll give this a try but I can't do dates..

Aerosmith with Dokken at Worcester Centrum (?) on New Year's Eve when I was in junior high.

Tribute to Nelson Mandela with Paul Simon & Ladysmith Black Mumbazo, junior high, Hatchshell in Boston.

The Cure at Great Woods (now called some sort of brand name- Tweeter Center? I don't know)) as freshman in highschool.

ReggaeFest at Great Woods as freshman in highschool.

REM at Great Woods as freshman in highschool.

Sonny Rollins at Reggatabar while in highschool.

Phish at Matthew's Arena at Boston College (I think) while in highschool.

Phish at some small indoor theatre (really pretty) in Rhode Island while in highschool.

I think I saw Phish a few more times but I can't remember where... oi vey... .

REM again at Great Woods while in college.

Jimmy Buffet:
3 times at Great Woods.
Once at Fenway!!!!

Jill Sobule at Portsmouth Music Theatre- really fun great show & beautiful intimate venue!!!- as an adult.

Ladysmith Black Mumbazo (sp?), Portsmouth Music Theatre, as an adult.

Madeline Peyroux, Portsmouth Music Theatre, as an adult.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones & Drop Kick Murphy's at LeLacheur Park in Lowell (where the Spinners play) this past summer  .

I'm pretty sure there have been more but my memory is foggy.

Bob Segar - 1983 (graduation)
Pink Floyd - 1986 or 87 (can't remember)

Re bar bands like SSJ, I had a college roomate who used to say George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers were the best in that venue.

Social Distortion – some manner of a riot started and shut it down early
Soup Dragons and someone else at a club in Allentown, PA
Red Hot Chili Peppers and can’t remember who opened for them
Indigo Girls and again, can’t remember who else
Cheap Trick
U2, missed the first part as we broke down on the Schuylkill Expressway on the way
Black Crows
Aerosmith
BB King
Willie Nelson (I am not a country fan but OMG, it was awesome!)
Jimmy Buffett several times
James Taylor
Peter Paul and Mary (I think I have the name right, it was with my parents years ago)
Davey Jones (at a bar, surprisingly entertaining)
George Winston

And most recently……Elmo. Our three year old is still talking about the show we saw several months ago. We are going again soon, front row seats this team. I already have a headache.

I am forgetting many from college. I had a group of guy friends were communication majors and involved with campus radio. We were constantly taking off at the spur of the moment for concerts.
