I love real cowboys.
You know, I was just thinking. Dan Quayle appeared to be less than intelligent on TV (people who know him personally tell me he is actually quite smart), but he ended up being OK. Bush 41 didn't kick the bucket, and he didn't have to actually do much, so he was OK. Maybe Palin would be OK too. After all, she is governor of a big, giant state. The only real issue would be: would she be ready if McCain died?
But Palin shouldn't be the reason you didn't choose McCain. If you have other reasons and that's the deciding factor, then go for it. If you feel OK about him except for the Palin thing, then vote for him.

Lulu, I like Sarah Palin as a person. And I think she'd be an ok VP. I'm so not worried that McCain is going to kick the bucket in the next 4 years, that her taking over is not concerning to me. BUT... there are always those chances. I'm more concerned that McCain's age contributes to things like Alzheimers. I'm not as old as him, but I do see my memory functions starting to become a little dim sometimes, so that's a big factor to me when it comes to McCain's age. Hell, any of us could get hit by a car tomorrow. Anyone can kick at any time. There is just as much of a chance of Biden becoming President as Palin, the way I look at it.

While Ralph Nader has some admirable ideas, he's not my choice either. And I really don't want to throw my vote away. If I was really going to write in Tina Fey or vote for Ralph Nader, I might as well not vote at all. Where's Pat Paulsen?! LOL!!
For what it's worth, I voted for Bill Clinton and Al Gore. But this time it's just not an easy decision.

You all on this thread need to see the latest analogy made by SoxFan in this thread:

Don't even bring that guy into this thread! He's so way out of line and offensive. Particularly with THAT rant!jmq wrote:You all on this thread need to see the latest analogy made by SoxFan in this thread:
