I'm glad you all liked reading the report! Sometimes I think my reports are too long but I love St. John so much I want to share all the details with my fellow St. John fans! :D

Susan, I am pretty certain that the sharks are blacktips. I got a good look at the snout before they turned around, and the shape fits, as does the shape of the fins. If anyone thinks otherwise, please feel free to correct me.

jmq, we called it a draw, photo-wise. We decided it would be safest that way. I did win the underwater video competition though!

Colleen, I am glad I inspired you to book your tickets! October, huh? We might see you there... 8)

Bert, too funny on the urchins! I will confess that of all the underwater creatures, they are the ones that terrify me most. I can handle the jellies and the sharks, but man, I am always afraid I am going to get stabbed by an urchin! I don't even think the kind that grow in the Caribbean are the edible kind (Not that I want to eat urchin anyway...I tried it once and the texture was terrible. It got all smeared inside my mouth like paste. Just thinking about it makes me want to hurl!).

Again, thanks for the kind words everyone, I am really glad that you enjoyed my report.

Have a great weekend! :D

Liamsaunt- Awesome report, thanks for sharing.

Respectfully, your husband is a very lucky man.

Thanks to both of you for sharing your trip with the forum.

Oh, BTW...this year I booked C-Tarn based on your reviews, next year it might be La Mer...it looks awesome. How do you compare that view to the Catherineberg view?

Cheers-

Either I missed it or you didn't mention any wines. Did you have anything good down there?

Thanks so much for your reports. I have wanted to stay at Caneel, maybe next time. I have a John like yours-always going off beyond my sight when snorkeling and worrying me
When will I see St John again?

I feel like I am already on St John with your great report. Your food looked better than the restaurants. Your pictures are wonderful. One more week for us before we hit the beach.

I absolutely loved reading your trip report. We'll have to try snorkling at Scott Beach via boat next trip. Pictures were amazing! Food pictures were also. We've tried ZoZo's twice since they moved to the Gallows location and were very disappointed. Maybe it's time to try them again.

Great reports AND pics as usual!

I told someone today that the thing that scares me the most in the water are the sea urchins  I am scared I am gonna step on one entering the water or accidently hit one snorkeling!

I LOVE the octopus pics! Those are amazing!

Thanks again,
nothintolose

p.s. I agree that your food pics look better than the restaurant ones!
