Sorry I did something wrong.

I think the north shore is too chilly for a pool unless it's heated.

It took us weeks and hundreds of e-mails to choose our last villa. And that was after we knew exactly how many were totally committed. (Ready to write a check) Everyone should put there 2 cents into the pot and that way we'll find the best place for everyone. We narrowed it down to 3 and took a vote. That worked perfectly. I think the vote was unanimous.

How far in advance did you reserve? Does one person collect the checks? I can imagine that its a huge production putting something like this together. I'm volunteering to help with something whatever that may be!

Actually it was really easy. We all sent in our own check for our part of the downpayment. When the final payment was due, we did the same thing. I put the house in my name and they sent me an e-mail to let me know they had collected from everyone.

First we need to decide on exact dates and the exact number that are going. Should we make a deadline date?
We certainly have a lot of time.

My ticker is just a guess.

My Birthday is 10/12 and I think that's a Saturday. So of course I vote for that day...but I know you all are thinking about November which is fine too. Are we doing Sat-Sat? Fri - Fri works good for me if anyone else is interested in that.

Should we start a new topic for "Deadline for ?OTB sign up is ____"? What do all of you think is a fair enough time frame? Also, I was thinking that if some aren't sure they can commit this early, they can decide later next year and get another villa. We can still hang out together.

Should we sit on this a bit and regroup sometime in January and get down to brass tacks then?

Also - is everyone flexible on the date? I am except for the one I already mentioned.

Your thoughts Ladies?

Sounds good to wait till after the holidays and get down to serious planning then. The only "ringer" I have is my son's wedding and I think that will be before November. I like Cypressgirl's idea of going over Halloween...but as I told them last spring when we were planning, I'm easy. 8)

I think mid-January is a good time to regroup (although I am ready to put pen to check :) )

I'm flexible on dates - I'm not a Halloween person, but that week or later works for me.

If the moon, stars and hubby align, I'll spend a week with SOTB and the following week with hubby 8)

On OT thread to keep track of villa suggestions might be helpful. I'm so used to looking for 1BR places, that looking at some of the larger villas will be fun.

We were well behaved, weren't we VaGirl?

I think a deadline for the number of people and the dates after the first of the year would be a good idea. Maybe like Feb 1st? We can still talk about it until then though. :D

I like the idea of going over Halloween too. Coming back Nov 1st may be tough. Does anyone want to go Sat-Sun and have an extra day?

Hi girls!
I have been MIA from the forum this week ... lots of Christmas shopping, but I want to go too! My only villa "requirements" have already been mentioned ... clean, GREAT view, a/c, pool, hot tub ...
Yippee! I'm going to be celebrating all year 2008!!!

Hey Ladies,

I doubt I'll be able to join you  But, a word of warning. When you start looking at 6 bedroom villas, they book FAST. Often a year in advance.
