All that sugar will help ya sleep threw the night and the milk coats your stomach throw in a couple of those chewable peptobismo tabs too if your tummy is really upset. next day lots of water and salty stuff. I'm blown away by all this great advice. Now I just have to decide which remedey to try.

I do have one question. If alchol dehydrates you and there is no minerals in the water, why do my rings get tight the first day on the island? I always feel like I'm retaining fluid, not dehydrating. :?

me too but mine ( I think) is a reaction to humidity/salt air. happens to me all the time near the ocean and on cruises.

I have to agree! This is the only remedy that works for me while on vacation. If I am hung over at home I drink a lot of water and take excedrin migraine. It doesn't cure it, but lessens the pain!! 8)

Lick kosher salt before bedtime.
Drink a lot of SmartWater (has electrolytes like Gatorade but no sugar).
Aspirin.

My wife and I always comment on how puffy are hands feel when were on the beach glad to hear it happens to others too. That salty air must help you retain water. Hey Cypress that should also help a hangover so head for the beach first thing in the morning.

It's funny, but when I was in STJ I never had a H.O.
Getting to bed early helps! :D
I think jumping in the water (ocean or pool) first thing in the morning helps!

Okay, I'm headed to Charlotte to visit my old grad school roommate. We haven't seen each other in about 5 years and things could get wild, so I have been paying attention to this thread. I took the best of your ideas and think I have a plan, "just in case." You guys check me on this and see if I've got it:

If I drink too much, I need to take some aspirin before falling over the bed and get someone to give me 3 kisses, but I need to make sure the curtains are closed. Then, when I wake up the next morning, I should head to the beach with a cooler of beer, some BBQ chips, and a guy who's hung and swim naked. After that, throw on a ballcap and sunglasses and go get a burrito.

Heck, I might do this even if I DON'T have a hangover....

A beach and a hung man, huh? And here I thought I knew of every cure already. VIOL forum, you have educated me once again!
