From me personally, nothing. I had my bag on me. We're with a big group and he got 40ish from a few people with us. There were others on the beach with much more taken.

KyGirl - I'm sorry that happened. Boo!!

We only take a bit of cash & a credit card, in a waterproof box with us. It goes where we go. And, while going to the beach alone, one stays on land, the other plays in the water. That is a buzzkill to snorkel alone, but...what can you do?

Hope they catch the thief soon!

This is terrible...hopefully he will be caught..we always take a waterproof box and carry keys..cash..and cards in it and take it in the water...we never leave anything of value on the beach..so all he would be get would be towels and a bag..I feel so bad for people when that happens...maybe someone should put a rat trap in their bag...let him reach in and get hold of that...
As a side note..my daughters IPod was stolen at school..she left it at her friends house and her friend brought it back to her at school, during gym class someone went thru her things as well as some of the other kids bags...abt 2 weeks later..someone connected it to the internet..(we had been watching for it to connect so we could track it)..they put their contact information in it..as well as contact information for others...I called and explained it was being tracked and I had filed a report 2 weeks prior and I had just notified them...abt 10 minutes later the kids mom calls me back..needlees to say we got the Ipod back, she was more than happy to meet me with it...thing is..the kid that had it didnt even go to my daughters school...we were lucky...
I hate a thief !!!
