I wnated to add one thing about Verizon. I was told before I left that text, email and web would be no additional charge and no roaming. Phonecalls would be 1.99 per minute. I planned to use my friend's AT&T phone for calls and mine for everything else since there are no additional charges with AT&T (it is like you are at home using your phone). Well neither email nor web worked for me. It might have had I turned on the international roaming feature but i was't going going to chance that and come back to a huge bill. And I was told that wouldn't be necessary anyway. Texting did eventually work though.

Just a word of warning if you are planning to use your Verizon cell while on island.

enjoyed your trip report....

villa choices....sorry you were a little disappointed...I know I will stress about picking a villa...hard to tell from the pics on website. Sometimes the reviews make them sound entirely different than what you see online.l
