Hey Jim haven't been yet but we are going to VG in Sept. We are staying at Island Spice in Nail Bay. Sure looks nice as anything we stay at on St John at around two thousand for the week. We did get a discount and are going with Andy and Dawn so a grand apiece, great deal in my book :) May just stay our second week if we love it there. Honey said girl was unbelievably friendly on the phone for reservations. Everything I've read about Nail Bay staff has been great on how frendly they are. Let ya know how it goes when we get back.

Kirk and others considering BVIs:

When using your credit cards in the BVIs, most banks WILL hit you with a foreign transaction fee of 2-3% even though it is US dollars.

I know - it makes no sense. Call your card company to see if they will (likely). Capital One is one of the few cards left that do not have that fee in the BVIs (or anywhere else overseas). A useful perk.

We just got back from a week on VG following 2 weeks on STJ. VG was by far my favorite. They both have their perks but if I had to choose one it would be VG for me. There is a real sense of community there. Everyone was extremely friendly. The food was amazing! The beaches, the boulders, the views. Wow, just wow is all I can say. The way most of you get STJ I get VG. It just calls to me in a way I cant explain.

We stayed at Guavaberry. Not the cleanest accommodations, but reasonable for sure and the location was great and their beach was beautiful.

You must try the fish taco's at Little Dix Bay. So Good! The Mineshaft has some of the best ribs I have ever had. Rock Cafe has such an intimate and romantic setting and the food was pretty good. Mad Dog has THE BEST pina colada ever. Hands down. Top of The Baths has a really great chicken roti at lunch.

The snorkeling was different here. You don't get the same calm, deep bays like in STJ. The water was choppier for sure but very clear.

I really cant wait to get back.
