only got to 4 beaches on our 1st trip but have to say that Vie's beach is our favorite. well worth the trip out there and the food is scrumptious, Ms Vie and her daughter are wonderful.... Met some of the friendliest island people there too.

I love Maho because it's far enough from Cruz to be quiet and uncrowded and so nice to not have to hike to get there but no snorkeling.

Love Waterlemon for the snorkeling.

Trunk is beautiful to look at.

Going to try Hawksnest and Gibney this time. Would like to find a good snorkeling spot that is easy to get to.

honestly, the best snorkeling spots are hard to get to, that's why they're less damaged.

"Best snorkeling" is so subjective.

One of the most fun hours that we've spent in the water was in the shallows, between a foot and a foot and a half deep. No fins - just gently floating and taking the time to see all of the little critters.

Once you've allowed yourself to slow down (so that you don't look like a giant, fast moving predator to the "locals") it's amazing what you'll see when they "come out to play".

There is only one thing I don't like about STJ beaches. They are not really long enough to take long walks on. I like to walk for miles and miles along a white sandy beach. I like Trunk, Maho and Cinnamon since you can take a walk at least. I just go back and forth a couple of times. A hot hike on rocks to get to a beach is OK, but not the same.

One of my favorites is the tiny beach on the tip of Waterlemon Cay. There is nothing quite like it. Laying on the beach looking back at the unspoiled valley is magic.

For my family it is Francis and Little Cinnamon. Francis has everything we love (uncrowded long beach with great snorkeling) and Little Cinnamon bc everytime we're there we feel like we're on Gilligans Island (quiet and unspoiled). On our 1st trip to STJ in 1999, the only footsteps on Little Cinnamon were ours. That was cool.
3 more weeks until we go back. I find myself daydreaming of our upcoming trip at times during the day when I should be thinking about other things. I love it!! :D
