Well it had more lows than highs, but it’s also not surprising that they didn’t even come close to the performance in that clip posted above of Wont Get Fooled Again. That was from The 9/11 Concert for NYC and it was widely noted that they stole that show. It even surprised many long time Who fans how good they were. But that was over 8 yrs ago, it looks better rehearsed, Daltry was in much better voice, and, most importantly, John Entwistle was still alive and well and playing phenomenal bass. You just can’t lose the immense talent of a Keith Moon AND John Entwistle in a 4 person band that plays and sounds like The Who and have it still be great (or even very good), and the SB show confirmed this. Anyways, that’s my take.
The stage design and lighting was very cool though, recalling the early “Mod” logos, and even the lasers that was once a big part of their shows.
