I hope Reggie enjoyed taunting Brian Urlacher and hotdoing in the endzone. A rookie celebrating his play when his team is losing! He didn't have much to strut about the rest of the game.
The wonderful Saints Cinderella story of the season lost some of its lustre through his bush behavior, but it sure seemed to motivate the Bears.

In the post-game interviews, many Bears defensive players said that Bush's taunting got them fired up. I would say so. After that, the Bears went on a 23-0 scoring run.

To his credit, Bush did realize that he used bad judgment. The papers also are reporting that Bush apologized to Sean Payton.

Sometimes we forget...myself included...that these guys really are just kids. Hopefully, Bush will learn from it.

I am sure that all of the Bears fans that taunted Saints fans with horrible comments about Katrina regret what they did yesterday too.

I think Mr. Pete is right and sometimes lessons are learned the hard way. I am sure Reggie learned a big one yesterday. It's not just one action that caused us to lose though. The Bears played really well, and we did not. They deserved to win.

All I can say is I am so proud of our Saints for taking us along for the ride they took us on. It gave this city hope and something to unite behind, and we couldn't be more proud of them for this past season.

p.s. Look out next season

Anyone that did that does not deserve to be a Bears fan or even a Chicagoan. I am sorry that anyone had to endure that kind of stupidity!

I've been a bears fan for as long as I can remember, so I am thrilled that the Bears won, but if they had to lose, I'd rather that it be to the Saints that anyone else. The Saints had a great season and would have been a great representative of the NFC.

How's that for politically correct? :)

Go Bears!

Nonetheless, were any of these alleged taunts reported in any newspaper other than in New Orleans?

Sounds pretty picayune to me.

The best taunt of the season nonetheless was a week earlier when a Saints female fan in the cropped T-shirt who made in on screen, probably as a honey shot since so much of her belly was showing until someone realized that her black shirt was lettered in gold---"F--- the Eagles."

Actually, MLS, they were not alleged taunts. I got them first hand from my best friend that is living in Wisconsin post Katrina (wanting to get back) and is originally from Philly. He was there.

I heard about them first from him, then from all of the people calling in to WWL Radio from Chicago that were up there - not all of them were New Orleanians either. I haven't even seen stuff about it in the Times-Picayune (not that it wasn't - just wasn't looking for it).

You don't tell someone that got 9 feet of water in their house that it's too bad they didn't drown in it; that's just not right. I would hope Giants and Jets fans were not harrassed with similar comments about 9/11.

I have no problem whatsoever with people heckling the fans of the opposing teams, but that kind of behavior was completely uncalled for.

Don't get me wrong, alot of people have called in and said the fans they met were nice but alot also called in saying the Katrina comments were horrible.

Nonetheless. you need to lighten up. Put on some Kenny Chesney, Be as You Are. Take a long, slow swig of Cruzan. Think about Limin'.

Anybody who thinks getting information from a Cheesehead originally from Philadelphia is first hand is not first rate and certainly not first class. Getting information about fan behavior from a Philly fan is like asking Mike Tyson about head cheese.

Maybe some Bears fans were uncouth (imagine that), but the Bear players were very classy and lowkey in reacting tp Bush's classless behavior-let's not forget that the Saints were losing when he decided to be a hot dog.

Maybe too you should be happy that Bears fans remembered Katrina;apparently based on the State of the Union last night, the President doesn't.

Hey there MLS, what's up with the personal attacks? In the immortal words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"

It was only a freakin' football game. IMHO I don't believe all this animosity against a fellow forum member belongs here.

What were those words they used in the "olden days"? Oh yeah.... "good sportsmanship."
