Gromit, We(me, hubby, and 18 y/o son) will be there 6/20 - 6/27. I would love to join you. Hubby doesn't snorkel and son is snorkel novice, so I don't know if they would be up for it. I will talk to them. The other issue is that there's a good chance hubby will be down-sized out of a job at the end of January. If he's unemployed then we will be a on major budget and won't be able to swing it. Just wanted to let you know that I'm interested. I will keep eyes open for future posts. Thanks!

Gromit - you are not missing much not having been to the caves. They don't go in very far and we didn't really see much. The Indians are much better in my opinion.

I guess we thought you were gonna swim in really far and see lots of stuff. Oh well, I guess I am glad I did it to say I did it (not that it really matters).

while we won't be on island with you, thank you for includng the link to Bad Kitty. That sounds exactly like the boat we want to take to the BVI. It's easy steps to get up to the boat, which is what we were looking for.

Calypso is where we wanted to rent a dinghy anyways... think they'll give us a discount for an excursion and a dinghy??

You guys are going to have an awesome time!!! Hope you can bring the jello shots!

I want to go........I need the dates for the boat part.
I may just come for a few days and not get to go for a week.
I want to be able to hang with you all.

If accepted into the PT program, I will be starting school in May so a short vac would be a boost.......

What about the 24th of June?

But I am flexible. Any day between the 22-25 works for me.

Saving $$$$ is good..........Keep us posted Gromit.
I like June 24 and will check and see if Spirit flies out only Sat then or can I fly midweek.
I may need to take another carrier, if I am to stay a week.
I may be alone in my accomodations at Concordia but at least I can party with you all on the boat......:)
Did you check on jello shots Gromit?
They looked so good from Vicki's pics or were those your pics Gromit?
Worse case scenario I miss a week of class

Actually Pia-- that's not the case. They are quoting me a per person rate not a boat rate. So it won't be cheaper. I thought it was weird but they were specific.

Maybe you can check with your friend to be sure but that's not what they told me. Let me know if they tell you something different.

I don't necessarily want to pack the boat. Basically I'd like to keep it under 20 people. Ideally 16 but again, I am flexible.

I've got 5 people in my group. So I basically need commitments from at least 10 more people.

And based on the response we're getting close to that.

Let's see who else is game...

My girlfriend & I will be there from the 21st thru the 28th, and I am VERY interested as I never made to the BVIs on my first trip. I'm assuming the boat takes off from Cruz Bay?

I would much rather meet, and hang out with forum members....sounds like a great day!! Maybe people could just make payment directly with the charter using a credit card over the phone?

Hi Gromit

My friends partner (my friend was at work) told me the cost for the boat for a private charter so I assumed that was regardless of the # of people - guess I assumed wrong

I just called him to talk about it so I will let you know when he calls back what I find out :)

Scott - that's what I was thinking.

Once we can agree on a date that works for as many as possible then I would make arrangements with the charter co to accept checks or CC payments for the deposits and final payment by a certain date.

I'm hoping that they will accomodate that.
