Thanks for the entertaining report! I really love reading these.

It's risky business bringing newbies down....even and maybe especially when you love them very much. It's your vacation....it's really expensive and you know the way you like it. If you go in.... you have to go in knowing that compromise and kindness has to be a part of it.

Just one thing about #10 and in defense of cute shoes. One of the many things I love about STJ is that you can be yourself...whatever that might mean. I'll fess up to an occasional sarong and even an evening strappy sandal and never once felt that I was being made fun of. I wouldn't hike the Reef Bay Trail that way but they don't take up much room in my suitcase and they make me happy.

Hope the upcoming trip is your best one yet!

Gromit,
Thanks so much for posting your report! We traveled with newbies (with their own car) a couple of years ago and they loved STJ! I love the recipes for your jello shots and plan to make them soon. (BJ's has great 2oz cups with covers btw) I would never be able to get along with my inlaws on VACA so I applaud you! Congrats on already having a second vaca planned that is the best! Thanks for taking the time to post.
