Thanks for sharing Pia. So happy we could help out. I've already started my pile for next year. And, if there is a place (eg., community or teen center) where we could send old game systems and games, please let us know!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Thanks for sharing these pix...... and I know we will even do better next year...but what about the rest of the year....... I know I would love to "give back" to my favorite island throughout the year...so PLEASE let us know about other opportunities!

Had a great 10 days on STj...& now will be on STT until 1/2 ---it's a very laid back trip but will try to get a Trip report done when I get home....

There's an immediate need for funds to send the high school bands to the presidential inaugural parade. Just when they had most of the money they had initially budgeted, some new fee to get the instruments there was imposed. The kids have done car washes, bake sales, coin drives, etc. but they're still short. I've been meaning to post this for a while, but kind of forgot about it until now. If anybody's interested, I'll find the contact person's phone number. I gave them a check (small!) last week.

The Family Resource Center on St Thomas could probably use the old games. They have programs for middle school kids, and xbox games sound very appropriate for that program. I'll probably see people from that program this weekend, and can post after the event if anybody's interested.

One of the Catholic churches here (well, St Croix) lost money in the Madoff scheme, so I imagine that their outreach services will be adversely affected.

There are so many needs right now, and fewer funds to address them. IMO the Seasonal Spirit of Giving should be 365.

Hi everyone

I will post this in a seperate thread as well, but I just got back from visiting the Guy Benjamin school in Coral Bay to ask about any special "needs" they have and they were soooooo happy that people wanted to help :)

I am going back tomorrow to get "the list" :) They are low on many supplies and a lot of the items are not available on island so they have to order them and wait on delivery - I will post as soon as I know.

Thanks again everyone for wanting to help - especially in these difficult times.
